| About Zag Bag Designs |
In January 2004, good friends, Erica and Katie, came together with an idea to make their mutual dream of business ownership a reality. Equipped with sewing experience, creativity, and an eye for design, Erica and Katie conceptualized Zag Bag Designs – a home party experience that enables women to take charge and get exactly what they want in a handbag. By March 2004, the first Zag Bag party was held.
Erica, a stay-at-home-mom and graduate student, and Katie, a full-time college student, had hoped to devote a few hours a week to selling and creating custom handbags for a little supplemental income. However, it wasn't long before the two were doing 25+ parties a month and doing all the manufacturing themselves in their homes in rural northwest Missouri.
Six months from the 1st Zag Bag party, Zag Bag Designs moved into their first design and production studio. By June 2005, the up-and-coming company had 25 Independent Design Consultants in five states. Zag Bag Designs is privileged to offer working mothers with part-time work, in sales or manufacturing, which allows them to set their own schedules to accommodate their busy families.
With a mission to provide high-quality handbags, totes, and travel bags that are unique and cater to each individual's sense of style, Zag Bag Designs continues to grow. By continually updating fabric, trim, and handle selections and designing new styles, Zag Bag Designs stays on the cutting edge of fashion accessory design.
